About Us.

Judicator formed on Saint Patrick's Day 2009. Ryan (vocals/guitar) was sleeping on a friends extra couch when he met the band through a random message sent to Kat (a close friend of the band). They invited Zach(Lead Guitar) and Jake (Bass/Vocals) to their St. Patty's Day party. As it turned out Jake and Zach live literally two streets over from the house where Ryan was staying. They just walked over bottle Wild Turkey 101 in hand, and the three of them quickly (got drunk) became close friends. Soon they began playing covers locally as a 3 piece under the name Headway, with Ryan and Zach switching out on drums. Not long afterward Tony, a long time friend of Zach and Jake, returned from school at Atlantic University and started filling in on the kit. Since the band [definitely] needed a drummer Tony became a permanent fixture behind the set, and Judicator was formed. With mutual admiration for all things heavy, and influences like Slayer, Metallica, and Black Sabbath (and Yngwie Malmsteen, and Steve Vai, and Deicide, etc., etc.) the band began writing original material. From that point on the band has focused on only original music. They've performed with acts like Motograter, Cinder, and a host of other national touring acts. They released their first EP in 2011 entitled Insta-Kill, and are in the process of getting back into the studio to record their first full length album. They've been featured on national as well as international radio shows, and will continue to bust their asses for as long as they can keep their feet will carry them.

"Judicator brings exactly the kind of brutal thrashy/death metal that one should expect when they listen to a band from Florida...with bands like Obituary, Morbid Angel and Deicide to be compared to, these guys hold their own in a state that is notorious for some of the best metal acts in heavy music."
